How to Support

Every investment in community is a step toward lasting change. Join Serving Our Communities Foundation in building opportunity, resilience, and equity for families in Nevada and Missouri.

We Serve with Intention & Consistency to Strengthen Systems

Our Philosophy

Serving Our Communities Foundation believes that lasting change requires more than good intentions. It requires showing up consistently, investing strategically, and building the kind of trust that transforms systems over time. We work at the intersection of children, health, economic opportunity, and community resilience because these challenges don’t exist in isolation.

In Nevada and Missouri, we partner with purpose, fund with integrity, and measure success by the strength and sustainability of the communities we serve.

Serving Children & Families Across a Vast, Underserved Region

In rural Nevada, children who experience abuse often face a painful reality: the services they need simply aren’t close enough to reach. Carson City Rural Child Advocacy Center exists to close that gap. Serving children and families across a vast, underserved region, CCRCAC brings together law enforcement, medical professionals, therapists, and child welfare experts under one roof to ensure every child receives a coordinated, trauma-informed response.

With support from Serving Our Communities Foundation, CCRCAC continues building the infrastructure that protects Nevada’s most vulnerable children and strengthens the systems designed to serve them.

Founding a Community-Driven Food Equity Initiative

Too many families in the St. Louis region live without reliable access to nourishing, affordable food. Not by accident, but as the result of decades of disinvestment, discrimination, and policy failure. Food City STL is working to change that. A community-driven initiative, Food City STL advances cross-sector partnerships and community-led solutions, developing a people-powered roadmap toward a more equitable food system.

Founded by Serving Our Communities Foundation, this work moves St. Louis closer to a future where food is a right, not a privilege.

Funding and Building a More Equitable State-Wide System of Care in Autism & Neurodevelopment

For families raising neurodivergent children in Nevada, finding qualified care is often a long, expensive, and exhausting process. The Nevada Collective for Autism and Neurodevelopment (NvCAN) is working to change that. By training educators and clinicians, reducing assessment wait times, supporting families with resources and funding, and building a more coordinated statewide network of care, NvCAN is strengthening the systems that neurodivergent individuals depend on.

With support from Serving Our Communities Foundation, NvCAN continues expanding access to culturally responsive, high-quality autism and neurodevelopmental care for children and families across Nevada who deserve better than what the system currently offers.

Investing with Purpose in Youth Education for Long-Term Growth

For students from under-resourced St. Louis communities, the path to economic opportunity often starts with access, and Show Me The World Project is building that access deliberately. Through student-led entrepreneurship, workforce readiness training, financial literacy, and real-world learning experiences, the organization reached over 100 high school students in the past year alone. With support from Serving Our Communities Foundation, Show Me The World Project secured its first dedicated office and production space, a milestone that strengthened operational capacity and positioned the organization for sustained, long-term growth.

This is what investing in young people’s futures looks like in practice.
